The Challenge
Tiffin services (meal subscriptions) involve complex logistics: daily deliveries, frequent "pauses" due to travel/holidays, and multi-user household management. Manual tracking in these environments leads to massive waste and delivery errors.
The Solution
We built Swaadam, a proprietary logistics engine tailored for the unique challenges of the subscription meal industry.
1. "Unified-Pause" Logic
We engineered a robust state management system that synchronizes "holiday pauses" across the customer app, vendor portal, and delivery fleet in real-time. This ensures that no meal is prepared or dispatched for a paused subscription, reducing food waste by 25%.
2. High-Scale Order Aggregation
Utilizing Firebase Cloud Functions and Firestore, we built an automated morning aggregation engine that compiles 10,000+ individual custom orders into optimized preparation lists for kitchen staff in under 10 seconds.
3. Multi-Consumer Team Management
The app allows users to manage multiple "profiles" (e.g., family members or colleagues) under a single billing account, with independent pausing and dietary preferences for each.
